As the Chairman Emeritus of Dhanuka Group & Family Charitable Trusts, Dr. Agarwal, a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, embodies leadership that extends far beyond the boardroom, touching the lives of farmers and communities across the nation.

Under Dr. Agarwal’s dynamic stewardship, the Dhanuka Group has risen to prominence as a leading Agritech and Pharma Business House. What began with crop protection chemicals has expanded to embrace spray technology, pharmaceuticals, and integrating cutting-edge innovations like IT, IoT, precision agriculture, and drones to enhance crop quality, yield, and farmer income. His belief in providing comprehensive crop care solutions under one roof is epitomized by "Dhanuka Kheti Ki Nai Takneek," a philosophy he actively promotes through extensive extension activities. Notably, Dhanuka Group pioneered a Public-Private Partnership with the Government of Madhya Pradesh in 2001 for agricultural extension management, setting a precedent for collaborative progress.

Dr. Agarwal is also a pioneer in farmer education, famously sponsoring Dhanuka's channel partners to undertake the Diploma in Agricultural Extension Services for Agri-Input Dealers (DAESI) in collaboration with leading agricultural universities. This initiative empowers agri-input dealers with crucial knowledge, ensuring the right technology for crop protection reaches the grassroots level. Recognizing the indispensable role of research, he established the Dhanuka Agritech Research and Technology (DART) Centre in Palwal, Haryana—a state-of-the-art facility equipped for advanced agricultural experimentation, staffed by highly qualified scientists.

His influence in the crop protection industry is profound. Dr. Agarwal chaired the Crop Care Federation of India for over four years, served as its Vice Chairman, and was President Emeritus of the Haryana Pesticides Manufacturers Association. He also led the FICCI Crop Protection Committee, demonstrating his deep engagement at policy and industry levels.

A testament to his visionary leadership beyond agriculture is Orchid Pharma, a Dhanuka Group Company, which achieved a historic milestone by inventing Enmetazobactam. This novel Beta-lactamase inhibitor, entirely researched and developed in India, combined with Cefepime, has received global approvals, offering a critical weapon against antimicrobial resistance and poised to save countless lives worldwide. This breakthrough marks India’s first indigenously researched drug to achieve such international recognition.

For his remarkable contributions to uplifting farmers and society, Dr. Agarwal has been honored with numerous accolades, including an Honorary Doctorate from Amity University, three National Safety Awards, the Forbes Award for "200 Best Under a Billion Companies in Asia Pacific," and a Lifetime Achievement Award from CHAI and FICCI.

A fervent advocate for nation-building, Dr. Agarwal has guided Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. in extensive social initiatives spanning education, water conservation, healthcare, and spiritual and environmental sustainability. From running the century-old Dhanuka Ashram in Vrindavan and establishing Adarsh Vidya Mandir schools, to renovating village ponds and

constructing check dams in Rajasthan, his philanthropic footprint is significant. In healthcare, his contributions include a 68,800 sq. ft. OPD waiting hall at AIIMS, New Delhi, and setting up Dhanuka Healthcare at Govardhan. His commitment to social responsibility is further highlighted by contributions to cow shelters, mid-day meal programs, medicine distribution, and a ₹1 crore contribution to the PM CARES Fund, reflecting a profound dedication to India's holistic development.
